Basic Rules

Respect for Property: Treat everything in the room as if it were your own. Any damage to the room or equipment will be charged accordingly.

Personal Belongings: Students are responsible for their own belongings. The management is not liable for any loss or theft.

Responsibility for Property Damage: Any damage to Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram property or course materials will incur charges.

Visitor Hours: Visitors are permitted only between 10:30 am and 6:30 pm.

Liability for Loss or Damage: The student or participant is fully responsible for any loss, damage, or destruction of property caused by themselves or their visitors.

Children Supervision: Children must be supervised at all times. Any damage or loss caused by children is the responsibility of the guardians.

No Loud Music: Loud music is strictly prohibited on the premises.

Prohibited Substances: The possession or consumption of non-vegetarian food, alcohol, tobacco (smoking or chewing), and illicit drugs is strictly prohibited within the Institute.

Overnight Stay Restrictions: Residential members are not allowed to stay overnight outside of the Institute premises.

Eating in Class: Eating during class is strictly prohibited.

Consequences of Violations: Any violations of these rules may result in the individual being asked to leave the premises without any claim for a refund.

External Activities Disclaimer: We are not responsible for any activities conducted outside the Institute, such as rafting, swimming, sightseeing, or other trips.
- Indian Holiday: Course schedules may be adjusted due to Indian festivals or special occasions as determined by the school
Payment Policy

Payment Confirmation: After making the transfer, please send us the payment receipt to confirm your transaction. This helps us keep track of your payment.

Alternative Payment Methods: If a bank transfer isn’t possible, we can send a payment link to your email. Contact us for further details.

Booking Requirement: To secure your place in our Yoga Teacher Training, short-term retreat, or Yoga at Home Service, payment is required. Seats are reserved on a “first come, first served” basis.

Transaction Fees: Students are responsible for covering all transaction fees, including those charged by PayPal, Western Union, banks, or other payment services.

Rescheduling Policy: Seat reservations can only be moved to another date for unavoidable reasons. Paid amounts can be applied toward any future course within one year of booking.
Cancellation Policy

Fee Policy: The course fee, including any initial deposit, is strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to cancel the course for unavoidable reasons, the booking amount can be credited toward any future course with us, provided it is within one year from the original booking date. To reschedule your course, you must inform us at least two weeks before the scheduled start date. If you fail to notify us within this timeframe, you may lose your entire fee.

Responsibility for Mishaps: Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram is not liable for any mishaps or incidents that occur prior to the course start date.

Right to Cancel Booking: Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram reserves the right to cancel any booking if deemed necessary.

Refund for Course Cancellation by Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram: If Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram cancels the course before it begins, students will receive a full refund of the amount paid.

Non-Refundable Expenses: Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram is not responsible for any expenses students may have incurred, including travel costs (e.g., flight or train tickets), even if the course is canceled by either the participant or Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram.

Consent to Terms: By paying the course fee, the student agrees to all the terms, rules, regulations, and conditions set by Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram.

No Refund for Voluntary Withdrawal: Students are free to leave the course at any time, but there will be no refund, and readmission will not be allowed.
Media and Content Sharing Policy

Photography Notice: Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram will be taking photos of classes, sessions, and activities, including teachers and students present during these times for publications in print and electronic media.

Respect for Privacy: We value each individual’s privacy and want everyone to feel comfortable.

Opt-Out Option: If you prefer not to be captured in any photos, you are welcome to step aside or out of the camera frame.

Inform Coordinators: Please inform your respective coordinator if you have any objections to being photographed.

Respectful Approach: We aim to respect your wishes while capturing the essence of our activities for our publications.
Dress Code

Dress Code Requirement: Students and participants are required to wear appropriate and modest clothing while on the premises of Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram.

Prohibited Clothing: Tight, body-hugging clothes, short tops, shorts, revealing attire, tank tops, low-cut shirts, and short T-shirts are strictly prohibited.

Recommended Attire: The preferred dress code includes trousers, track pants, sleeved T-shirts, shirts, salwar kameez, or kurta pyjama.

Enforcement of Dress Code: If a student or participant is dressed inappropriately, Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram reserves the right to deny entry to the premises.

Final Decision: The decision regarding dress code violations is final and binding, and Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram has the authority to enforce it at its discretion.
Attendance Policy

Mandatory Attendance: All classes are mandatory and must be attended without exception.

Illness Excuse: The only valid excuse for missing class is illness. Even if unwell, you should try to attend class to observe and take notes if possible.

Punctuality Requirement: You are expected to be on time for class. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will not be permitted to join the session.

Consequences of Repeated Tardiness or Absences: Repeated lateness or unexcused absences may result in dismissal from the course.
Meal Policy

Sattvic Diet: During your training, you will be provided with simple, nourishing sattvic food that supports the yogic lifestyle.

Fixed Menu: The menu consists of Three vegetarian meals and is non-negotiable. Exceptions are only made for allergies, which must be communicated in advance.

Protein Sources: A high-protein diet is not necessary for the yogic lifestyle. Our meals provide sufficient protein through lentils and vegetables.

Supplementing Your Diet: If you need additional nutrition (such as nuts or vitamins), you can purchase them from local shops at your own cost. However, we request that you avoid unhealthy or non-vegetarian foods.

Outside Food Policy: No outside food is allowed on the premises, except for dry or fresh fruits.

Designated Dining Area: All meals must be eaten in the designated dining area to maintain order and cleanliness.

Food Guidelines: We ask you to avoid outside foods for reasons of hygiene and to ensure that the energy of the food aligns with the yogic principles of the Institute.
General Health Policy

Consult a Healthcare Professional: Always seek guidance from your doctor or a qualified health professional regarding any health concerns, especially before making changes to your diet or starting a yoga practice.

Responsibility for Health: It is the student’s/participant’s responsibility to consult a physician before participating in any programs offered by Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram.

Self-Care During Classes: Students/participants are responsible for their own well-being during class. Practice at your own pace, knowing your limits, and inform the teacher of any changes in your medical or health condition that may affect your participation.

Pregnancy and Class Suitability: Our regular classes are not suitable for pregnant students/participants.

Consultation Required: If a pregnant student/participant wishes to join any other program, they must first discuss their options with us before enrolling.
Course Material

Personal Use of Materials: Handouts, notes, and reading materials provided during the program are for personal use only and cannot be circulated, distributed, reproduced, or shared publicly in any form.

Copyright Infringement: Any unauthorized use, including printing, broadcasting, or posting, will be considered a copyright infringement and handled accordingly.

Ownership of Teaching Material: All teaching materials are the exclusive property of Rishikesh Vinyasa Yogashram and will not be shared outside of the program.

No Photography or Videography: Students are strictly prohibited from taking photos or videos during classes.

Strict Enforcement: Any violation of these rules will be dealt with strictly to protect the intellectual property and integrity of the program.
